Lately i have been struggling to keep to my macros. I do well with a low carb diet and ketoish diet but i have not been keeping true to it lately thus my weight scale swam up to alarming numbers. Partly because i ate anything and hugely because i am gluten sensitive and have very low sugar tolerance.
I came across Shirataki noodles from a friend and decided to check it out. It claims for zero carbs and zero calories and packed with fibre that keeps you full and suppress hunger. It seemed too good to be true and i didn’t buy it.
Now that am too bored with my diet and i need help with controlling my carbs i decided to finally order my zero carb, zero calorie noodles. And here is my honest review.
SHOULD YOU BUY IT?
My answer is a 100% yes. I have never came across any zero carb, zero calorie product that tasted this good! Its a noodles, or a rice and it tastes like “noodles” and even better.
IS IT REALLY ZERO CARB?
Per 200 grams is has less than 1 gram net carbs so basically its like HONESTLY ZERO. And 200 grams is like a lot! The noodles is very absorbent so 100 grams is all you need for a meal.
HOW DOES IT TASTES?
Like noodles. It tastes like “sotanghon”, “bihon” and the likes. It tastes like genuine noodles.
HOW TO COOK IT?
Firstly, drain the water and rinse it with water and cook like how you cook a noodles. That simple.
WHEN ON KETO, DOES MAKE YOU GAIN WEIGHT? OR LOSE WEIGHT?
I lost a lot of weight and i was able to break my plateau. Because sticking to keto macro has been super easy with Shirataki noodles and for i week i was able to stick to 20 carbs and thus i dropped from 56 kilos to 54 kl. Yes in one week because its the Keto diet. And the rate of weight-loss for keto should be fast.
